It has been some time since I last stepped in here for a blog. Probably because of my constant work schedule. But here I am, typing out another day of fun and joy with Cindy.
Yesterday, the both of us went out for high tea. We went to Conrad's high tea buffet. Before leaving to pick Cindy up from her place, we were on the phone talking about stuff. The topic about us going back on our first date came up. So we came up with the idea of today's high tea to be our re-first date again. Sounds silly but it is kind of fun to position ourselves back at where we went out for our first date. So we played along, pretending that it is our first date all over again.
So after we got off the phone, I went over to Cindy's place and picked her up. We head straight to Conrad Hotel and there we were. I was waiting for my sister and her boyfriend to show up as they were joining us for the high tea also. Not long after they arrived, we sat down at our table and selected our choice of tea. Don't be shocked. They have a great list of teas with unique name and weird descriptions. It was really an eye opener for someone like me who have been in the F&B line for years and only having the basic knowledge of normal teas.
I got my sister and her boyfriend to choose their teas first before our turn. After deciding on our teas, I told my sister about our decisions and it turned out that they chose the same teas too. Stunning. So our high tea came. Two tiers of scones and sandwiches were served and we shared among ourselves. To our surprise, the salmon sandwich was the nicest among all the pastries on the tier. There was also a line of buffet table with pastries and desserts with lots of chocolates. After finishing the tier, baby decided to head for the chocolates. I helped myself to some cookies and eclairs. Everything was great, but it seems like someone has to brush up on holding her fork properly (exactly the thing that happened on our first date) >=D. I was a little greedy and asked for a second tier of pastries. I ended up having a difficult time finishing up the food. After stuffing down everything, we took a rest to digest everything. We started talking and having laughter conversions.
Not long after, my sister's boyfriend had to leave for camp. So we went our separate ways. Baby and I headed down to town because baby decided to look for shoes. We made our way to Far East and to her FAVORITE shoe store, MONDO. One of baby's favorite hobby is shopping for shoes. She looked around and saw a pair of slippers. But she gave a second thought and decided not to buy because there wasn't a second pair which she was interested in (2 pair cost $15, thats why. Hahaha) =D. So we walked around Far East for quite sometime before deciding to move on to Takashimaya for baby's facial foundation. After which, as usual not being able to decide on which brand to buy (haha), we took off and headed home.
Upon reaching at baby's place, we had a moment of heart to heart talk. We were discussing about whether she should send me off to Tekong on my enlistment day. Baby had tears in her eyes. I know its going to be a rough two weeks after me enlisting. But I have faith that we have what it takes to hold on together.
Baby, I just wanted to let you know that I had a really great time today with you. It really felt just like our first date together all over again. Its been a pleasure to exhaust my remaining free time with you. You've been great all these while and I would really like to thank you so much for the love and company you've given me. I love you tons. OH. And did I mention that my girlfriend is hot today? =DDDDDD
